Mark Patkunas, CEO, Formed Higher Power Energy, LLC in 2005 with 6 partners. Each partner made an initial investment to start development on Wind Projects. HPE has a portfolio of Wind Energy Projects that has 1700MW’s under deep development and over 2000MW’s of potential wind projects in early stage development. Mark has worked every aspect of Developing Wind Projects including: Town Hall meetings, Land Acquisition, Lease Negotiations, Met Tower Installations, Interconnection Studies with Utility Companies, Turbine Supply Agreements and Financing. Mark has the ability to acquire land easily throughout the Great Plains due to the strong family ties that they have. Mark holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from Southern Illinois University. Majored in Aviation Management, Aviation Law and Minored in Aviation Flight and was awarded Outstanding College Student of America Junior and Senior years.

Lance Wilkerson, COO, Co-founded Higher Power Energy, LLC in 2005. He is responsible for all operational aspects concerning wind farm development and operation. He currently handles all wind data collection and management of all project wind data. He manages interconnect studies, site surveys, geotechnical studies, environmental studies and permitting. He also supports financial analysis, project modeling, budget development and third party consultants. Lance has a background in aerospace engineering and aviation from Iowa State University and graduated from flight school in 1989 as an Airline Transport Pilot.

Michael T. Miller, CFO is a Director and CFO. Michael has a distinguished 20+ year management career leading successful start-ups and serving in C-level positions in high-growth, public organizations. His expertise in using strategic planning, financial analytics and technical knowledge enabled him to grow businesses and increase market share positions. Michael most recently served as the Chief Strategy and Technology Officer for Sixth Gear and previously as a consultant from late 2006 until May of 2009. In these roles, Michael provided strategic, analytic, marketing and technology leadership in the successful raising of $1.8B in debt and equity and timely launch for Sixth Gear Inc., a start-up funded by Warburg Pincus and Lehman Brothers, Inc. In 2003, Michael founded Ingenuity Plus, LP and served as President for the partnership. During his tenure as President, Michael provided venture capital, financial assessments and strategic planning to various start-ups, primarily in the fields of renewable energy and financial services. In addition, the successful raising of the capital to launch Sixth Gear, Michael provided equity financing for SunEdison’s first solar installation with BP Solar on a rooftop photovoltaic project for Whole Foods. In addition Michael completed corporate formation and private placement memorandum including 10 year financial projections of income statement, balance sheet and cash flows for a wind development start-up. Prior to Ingenuity Plus, Michael co-authored the original business plan for AmeriCredit Financial Services in 1992 and was promoted to levels of increasing responsibility during his tenure with the company. Key positions included Chief Credit Officer, President of e-Services segment and ultimately Chief Operating Officer of AmeriCredit Corp. in 2001. Michael played a key role in designing and executing financial, marketing, technology and operational strategies that grew market capitalization from $120 million to over $1.1 billion. He championed innovation by devising and executing a strategy to use the power of the internet to facilitate on-line lending by establishing strategic alliances with E-loan, Lending Tree, and People First. Michael led the effort and design of a dealer to lender portal strategy that resulted in a partnership with Chase Auto Finance, forming Dealer Track, Inc. As Chief Credit Officer, Michael built a risk management process and technology team that revolutionized the industry by using analytical underwriting techniques not previously executed successfully in the non-prime auto space. Michael earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. In addition, he has attended executive programs at Wharton School of Business and masters degree courses and Dallas Theological Seminary. Michael is both a visionary and entrepreneur who combines leadership, financial analytics, technology, and marketing expertise to capitalize upon market trends and emerging market opportunities.

Rebecca A. Klein is Principal of RA Klein & Co., and also serves as Of Counsel to the law firm Tuggey Rosenthal Pauerstein Sandoloski & Agather LLP. Over the last twenty years she has worked in Washington, DC and in Texas in the energy, telecommunications and national security arenas. Ms. Klein was appointed by Governor Rick Perry in 2001 as Commissioner, and subsequently as Chairman, of the Texas Public Utility Commission (PUC), the position she held until January 2004. The Texas Governor also appointed her to the Texas Homeland Defense Task Force. Prior to her appointment to the PUC, Ms. Klein served as a Policy Director for then-Governor George W. Bush. Ms. Klein formerly worked at the Pentagon for the Secretary of the United States Air Force as a Legislative Liaison Action Officer. She also served in the White House of President George H. W. Bush where she recommended and recruited for the President’s approval candidates for sub-cabinet level and ambassadorial appointments. During her tenure in Washington, DC, she also worked at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency in areas involving international trade and multi-lateral banking. Ms. Klein’s professional experience also includes service with KPMG Consulting (now Bearing Point). She headed the development of the company’s Office of Government Affairs and Industry Relations in Washington, DC. She also served as a Senior Fellow with Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. As of January 2008, she serves as Chairman of the Board of the Lower Colorado River Authority, a public power utility owning generation, transmission, and water services across the central Texas area. In addition, she is Chairman of Power Across Texas, a non-profit that focuses on advancing information about clean, affordable and reliable energy in the state. She is also a member of the Diversity Advisory Committee of the Federal Communications Commission and a member of the Advisory Board of Reactive Surfaces Limited, a bio-technology company headquartered in Austin, TX. Ms. Klein currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. She was awarded the National Defense and Southwest Asia Service Ribbons for her service in Saudi Arabia during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Ms. Klein earned a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law, San Antonio, Texas. She also holds a Master of Arts in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Stanford University. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
Henry duPont is a wind energy project consultant who assists wind energy project developers with site assessment studies and wind energy project design, permitting, construction, and operations management. He has provided consulting for onsite wind energy solutions to a number of sites such as mines, manufacturing facilities and water treatment plants in states like California which offer significant incentives for renewables used in distributed generation applications. Customers include Johnson Controls, Inc, NASA Goldstone Deep Space Communications Network, and a number of Fortune 100 corporations such as Honeywell and Raytheon, Inc which are using us to investigate the feasibility of onsite wind energy for their sustainability programs.
Mr. duPont has managed teams of engineers, financial analysts, and environmental permitting experts, to advance projects through the wind energy project development cycle. In addition he provides turbine project planning, installation project management, commissioning support and training for operations and maintenance for these machines.
